UkePop gives kids an opportunity to learn their favorite pop tunes on ukelele. It is a perfect way to introduce your child to their first instrument in a fun, accessible way as kids learn how to jam together! Kids get introduced to the instrument fundamentals and then dive in, gaining confidence as they learn how to play and sing along to songs they love!
UkePop! Teaches students to play music in a way that is engaging, and helps expand their musical vocabulary! This is a pathway from learning basic ukulele chords to applying them to master some favorite pop hits. Kids are involved and engaged in choosing songs to play as the teacher adapts them to their level. Kids learn the basics of ukulele, and how to sing along while playing the instrument; skills that enable them to embrace their inner performer, as they learn songs they can play for anyone, anywhere!

Classes include: Introducing the instrument, learning basic chords, practicing chord progressions, and learning strumming techniques. We will go over playing in time so everyone can enjoy the sound of making music together. With the teachers guidance, kids experiment with singing and playing at the same time, becoming little performers themselves.
Instruments and Props include: Ukelele for each child, color coded stickers to indicate chords, a chord sheet for reference.

UkePop give students the opportunity to learn an instrument that they can grow with, and it can grow with them, laying the building blocks for playing guitar, or other stringed instruments. This class allows for vocal exploration, instrumental studies, and enables kids to experience the joy of playing along with other musicians!
