In this exciting Roblox Game Design class, students will learn how to create their own immersive 3D worlds and games using Roblox Studio, a platform that allows kids to become game developers. Designed for young creators, this course will introduce essential game design principles and coding concepts, empowering students to build their own interactive experiences in Roblox. By the end of the class, students will have developed their own playable games to share with friends and family.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Roblox Studio Basics: Learn to navigate Roblox Studio and use its tools to build and customize 3D environments.
  • Game Design Principles: Explore the fundamentals of game mechanics, character creation, and level design.
  • Problem Solving and Debugging: Develop critical thinking skills by troubleshooting and optimizing their games.
  • Intro to Lua Scripting: Gain a basic understanding of Lua, the programming language used to bring games to life in Roblox.
  • Collaboration and Creativity: Work with peers to brainstorm ideas, build games, and provide feedback to one another.
